Is driving electric truly sustainable?

The number of electric cars and charging stations in the Netherlands is growing rapidly. For price considerations, but mainly for sustainable reasons. Yet most electric car drivers do not know if the energy from their charging station is generated via green energy.

To raise this question, we built a visual metaphor for this matter: an oldtimer meets a sailing boat. Underlining the message ‘Driving an electric car is solely sustainable when it’s powered by 100% green energy.’
