‘When The Birds Are Gone’ is an emotional portrait about empty-nest syndrome, illness & motherhood.
This short documentary is about the 60-year-old Doro from Berlin. Doro suffers from depressions & parkinson disease and lives together with her husband Friedrich. Since their daughter has left home, she is struggling to find new meaning in life.
